Coronado High School – Stagecraft 1

This is primarily a hands-on lab course in backstage work with a focus on design. Students will learn basic stage tools and facilities. Areas covered will be set and lighting design, scenery construction, lighting, make-up, costuming, and general stage operation and management, and publicity. Crews will have the opportunity to assist with theatre productions. It is possible to receive a letter in theatre when certain requirements are met. Functioning as designers and crew, Technical Theatre is responsible for the designing, building, and implementation of Coronado productions. Areas covered will be set, lighting, sound, scenery construction, make-up, costuming, props, publicity, and general stage operation and stage management. Crews will be assigned to roles for theatre performances. It is possible to receive a letter in theatre when certain requirements are met.
