Dance classes at Coronado are a blend of jazz, ballet, and contemporary technique classes, with occasional tap and musical theatre. These classes additionally explore dance history, dance critiques of choreographic masterworks, student choreography and improvisation, as well as safety and wellness. Introduction to Dance is perfect for students who have never taken a dance class before, or have been out of the studio for many years. Intermediate/Advanced Dance is open to all students who have completed Introduction to Dance without an audition, or new students who have completed an audition and are placed into Intermediate/Advanced Dance. This second year of dance will include more student choreography opportunities. Dance 3,4 is perfect for students who have just taken Dance 1,2, or who have previous dance experience. This class is offered in the fall.If you have not taken Dance 1,2 but feel you are at least at an intermediate level, contact Mrs. Barnett to set up an audition to be placed into Dance 3,4.
