The Career in Construction: Building Construction curriculum prepares PACT graduates to perform the wide range of duties expected of building construction technicians. Students will learn multiple building trade skills to keep structures in tip-top shape in a HBI pre-apprentice building construction technology program. Replace windows, doors and electrical fixtures, improve energy efficiency, maintain wall and ceiling surfaces using drywall and paint. Perform basic electrical and plumbing maintenance and maintain the overall health of the building. This class includes building a home on-site but other levels of the program may also be involved as appropriate. Certification available.
