Sociology is a Social Studies elective course that studies human society and social behavior. Positive human interactions with one another are vital to a productive society. Sociology helps to teach us how to look at everyday life scientifically. Throughout the course, we will cover many topics to help introduce you to sociology and better your understanding of why the world is the way it is. We look at typical problems in society and how to solve them potentially. You will be expected to complete work on own time for this course in addition to class work. Homework: Expect an average of 1-2 hours of homework per night.
