Coronado High School – Advanced Acting

Advanced Acting is an audition only course offered to acting students who wish to further their acting and directing skills through class work, independent projects, and higher-level performance. Students will develop knowledge of advanced dramatic scene structure, explore challenging two person and ensemble scenes, and focus on specific skill sets, enabling students to identify their own skill strengths and weaknesses. Students will be responsible not only for class work, but for participation within the department as cast and/or audience members and attendance at the Thespian Convention. It is possible to receive a letter in theatre when certain requirements are met. One element of this magic is Stage Makeup! In this semester-long CTE course, you will learn the basics of theatrical makeup, old age, cuts $&$ bruises, time-period design, and more! Try something new or build on an existing passion!
