Major Outcomes: • Learn and directly apply the elements of art and principles of design • Explore a secondary discipline; noting the connections with art (ex. chemistry, specif- ically chemical reactions to metals and other materials used in jewelry design • Apply Design Thinking method to create solu- tions to various design challenges • Design and create works that become part of an e-portfolio Projects/Activities, etc.: Exploration of materials, original design work, development of art skills (ex. creating patinas on metal, use of jewelry equipment, designing original wearable art) | Instructional Focus: Design Thinking,
