Major Outcomes: This is an Anoka Ramsey Community College course in which students will • Assess students’ interests, needs and abilities in order to recognize the many components that go into making career decisions. • Expand awareness of self and the world of work in order to make deliberate career choices throughout one’s lifetime. • Help students learn skills that will enable them to make satisfying career decisions. • Explore the many ways the economy affects the job market. • Understand how social, economic, cultural, family and organizational changes can affect careers. • Explore strategies for implementing academic/career development plans.
