Stage Design I provides students with an understanding of the various aspects of theatrical production, including lighting, costuming, sound, set construction, makeup, stage management, and the use of computer and media-based applications. The course prepare students to engage in the hands-on application of these production elements in design and technology courses including the design of light and sound and the rendering of light and sound onto a space/set, as well as the basic aspects of technician work, such as lighting grids, call sheets, and sound balancing.
