Communication and Media Arts High School – CTE Aviation Maintenance and Airframe Tech

This introductory course teaches students in theory and practical, hands-on experiences using the Jeppesen Maintenance textbook and shop/hanger work at the school and airport maintaining district-owned aircraft. Practical experience is also gained through hands on exercises from the FAA Practical test questions. Students will be trained in aircraft maintenance run- up procedures and ground taxiing. Students course of study will also include shop and flight-line safety, human factors training, FAA regulations, and advisory circulars. GRADUATION TRACK: HS Diploma GRADUATION REQUIREMENT: Elective GRADUATION CREDIT: 1.5
