Study skills, reading comprehension strategies, writing and organizational skills are emphasized. B: The second half of Western Civilization focuses mainly on the emergence of challenges that shape American policy in the modern era. The course picks up from the Industrial Revolution, continues to refl ect on issues of globalization, and fi nally investigates the historical roots and global impact of Americ
