Prerequisites: Biology Aquatic Science is a study of the interactions between abiotic and biotic factors in marine and freshwater habitats as they relate to the environment. Maintenance of aquaria can be used in solving problems arising in the operation of fisheries, aquatic farms, waste disposal, and sanitation and water supply. Student investigations will emphasize observations, collection of data, data analysis, and the safe manipulation of laboratory apparatus and materials in the lab as it relates to aquatic systems.
