The AP Art and Design courses are for students who are interested in inquiry-based thinking and making. The course involves significantly more time and commitment than most high school art courses and is intended for students seriously committed to the study of art. The evaluation is based upon the completion and submission of a portfolio of work that includes works of art and design, process documentation, and written information about the work presented. The AP Drawing portfolio is designated for work that focuses on mark-making, line, surface, space, light and shade, and composition. Students can work with any materials, processes, and ideas.
Prerequisites: Drawing II, Painting II, Studio Art and Design, or AP 2-D Design
