Clear Falls High School – 3901H/3902H Engineering Beyond Earth: A Practicum in Aerospace, Satellites, and Space Structures (Honors/GT)

This advanced practicum course immerses students in the study and application of Aerospace Engineering with a focus on systems and structures used in space. Students will explore spacecraft, high altitude satellite design, launches/data collection, and the challenges of manufacturing and constructing structures in outer space environments. Using a team-based engineering design model with a focus on technical communications, each student will participate in hands-on projects and guided research. Students will need their own transportation for this course because class meetings will be held in different locations connected to aerospace/engineering across the community. Juniors who participate in this course will work towards receiving the Texas Aerospace Scholar Designation.
