The practicum course is a paid or unpaid internship experience for students participating in a coherent sequence of career and technical education courses in the Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources cluster. The practicum is designed to give students supervised practical application of knowledge and skills. Practicum experiences occur in a variety of off-campus locations appropriate to the nature and level of experiences. Grade Level(s): 12 Course Code: 13000610 Prerequisite(s): Veterinary Science (formally Veterinary Medical Applications).FFA dues recommended; application required. This course was formally known as Practicum in Veterinary Medicine. This practicum course provides internship experiences for students interested in pursuing the field of veterinary medicine. The internship is designed to give students supervised practical application of knowledge and skills. In a Veterinary clinic setting, students will learn small animal nursing, radiology and ultrasound imaging, laboratory procedures, animal restraint, examination room procedures, pharmacy, and pharmacology, and surgical preparation/assisting. Hours accrued will go toward the Certified Veterinary Assistant certification. # ARCHITECTURE & CONSTRUCTION # GPA Level 2
