Ethnic Studies is a course designed to broaden students’ perspectives and increase awareness of ethnic pluralism in the United States. This course will provide students with the opportunity to explore topics such as politics, migration, and acculturation, contextualized within the experiences and interrelationships of ethnic groups. Students will learn about the contributions that different ethnic groups have made to promote the cultural mosaic of the United States. Diversity within the United States will be examined from both historical and contemporary perspectives to provide students with a comprehensive course of study.  This course will satisfy one semester as an elective in Social Studies.
