Advanced drawing design course that provides students the opportunity to learn about the principles of architecture and to increase understanding of working drawings and construction techniques learned in the prerequisite course. Experiences include residential and commercial building designs, rendering, model making, structural details, and community planning. Students use computer-aided drawing (AutoDesk software), design equipment, and established standards or codes. They prepare models for presentation and related drafting practices and techniques. Building on the knowledge and skills acquired, this information is especially beneficial to future architects, interior designers, or homebuilders.
