Cherry Creek High School – Extracurricular Activities

This one semester course is a foundational introduction to acting, and serves as the basis for further courses in acting and directing. Students learn techniques in personalization, concentration, listening, emotional availability, dramatic action, imagination, scene study, monologue study and improvisation. Major acting pedagogies are explored, including: Stanislavksi, Hagen, Boleslavsky, and Meisner. The major course units are applied to both theatrical and non-theatrical settings. Students will receive written and oral critiques on performance work.
