Cherry Creek High School – Unified Peer Mentor Visual Arts

This course will integrate students in the ILC program and general education peers into a collaborative studio environment focused on visual arts. Students will explore creativity and communication through a variety of 2D and 3D media including drawing, painting, sculpture, and jewelry/metals. Unified Peer Mentors will support their partners in developing artistic skills while building relationships through creative experiences. Skills in collaboration, empathy, visual storytelling, and design will be emphasized. This course is ideal for students interested in working with peers with special needs in a hands-on, inclusive setting. Students are responsible for small materials fee.
Prerequisites: Must have a passion for working with students in the ILC program.
