These existing student businesses might include photography, baking, lawn care, and fashion design, just to name a few. For other students, the Practicum experience provides an opportunity to apply their entrepreneurship knowledge and skills, gained from their coursework in EI 1/EI 2, to a new, solely owned business or non-profit endeavor that the student can continue to manage in their post-secondary years, be it from college or in the workforce. All Practicum students will receive differentiated, one-on-one coaching and mentoring from industry experts. Upon course completion, young entrepreneurs will leave with a robust, fully functional small business or non- profit that they may continue to personally operate and grow in their postsecondary years, along with increased proficiency and enjoyment of the entrepreneurial process and mindset.
