Cedar Park High School – Practicum in Human Services

Practicum provides students with a unique opportunity to combine classroom instruction with real-world experience through partnerships with industry professionals, community businesses, and organizations in the fields of Human Services and Health & Wellness. Students will engage in work-based learning experiences that prepare them academically and professionally for high-demand, high-skill careers. As part of the course, students will also be introduced to pre-certification content designed to prepare them for future credentialing opportunities in areas such as personal training, nutritional coaching, mental health, and more. Opportunities may include off-campus placements arranged in collaboration with the instructor.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite(s): Credit for two credits from Family and Community Services: PALS or Health and Wellness Programs of Study
