Cedar Park High School – IB Core/Extended Essay

This course is designed exclusively for students pursuing the full International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and provides dedicated time and structured support for completing the IB Core requirements: the Extended Essay (EE), Creativity-Activity-Service (CAS), and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) integration. Students will engage in in-depth academic research, develop formal writing skills, and refine their ability to think critically and reflectively. Throughout the course, students will work closely with supervisors and coordinators to plan, draft, and finalize their 4,000-word Extended Essay, while also tracking and reflecting on CAS experiences that promote personal growth, creativity, and global citizenship. Emphasis is placed on research methodology, time management, and advanced academic writing, equipping students with essential skills for success in the IB Diploma Programme and beyond.
