IB Theory of Knowledge (TOK) 1 A is the first part of a course designed to stimulate critical self-reflection on the nature of knowledge and the processes by which it is acquired. The course challenges students to question the bases of knowledge across various disciplines and fields. Students will explore the strengths and limitations of different types of knowledge, the relationship between knowledge and values, and the role of language in conveying knowledge.
Prerequisites: Students should be able to analyze and synthesize information to construct written and oral arguments. This course is mandatory for IB Diploma candidates.
