Carver College and Career Academy – Research and Experimentation in Research and Technology

This course will provide students with an introduction to scientific analysis or experimentation as a tool(s) utilized to make major decisions in the world of technology and science. Students will design and implement an experiment to collect their own data using lab or field science research. This inquiry-based approach to the scientific method will provide students with an opportunity to make a hypothesis based on a quantifiable scientific question, convert inferences, utilize existing research as necessary, analyze data to make conclusions for a real-world impact and present their findings in a juried setting. Students will also be exposed to volunteering opportunities in their field of research.
