Media Explorations 2 is an intermediate/advanced studio course designed for junior students in the Specialty Center for the Arts' Fine Arts Track. Building on the foundation of Media Explorations 1, this course emphasizes smart material choices, refined craftsmanship, and the development of conceptual depth in students' work. Through independent research and studio practice, students will explore a new range of both traditional and non-traditional art materials, further expanding their artistic repertoire. The course encourages students to consider how their material choices contribute to the design and concept of their work. By the end of the course, students will have developed a cohesive body of work that reflects both technical mastery and thoughtful conceptual exploration. (Prerequisite: Honors Fine Artist’s Studio II; Honors Media Exploration I)
