Carver College and Career Academy – Honors Fine Artist’s Studio IV

Fine Artist’s Studio IV represents the culmination of the visual arts curriculum at the Specialty Center for the Arts. This mastery-level course is tailored for senior students who are ready to produce highly developed and conceptually rich artwork. Students will undertake independent projects that require extensive research, planning, and execution. Advanced techniques in dry media, wet media, printmaking, and/or sculpture will be employed to create portfolio-quality pieces. Emphasis will be on personal expression, professional presentation, and preparation for post-secondary opportunities in the arts. Students will also participate in critiques, exhibitions, and portfolio reviews to further their artistic development and career readiness. This class will include a Senior Capstone project that incorporates collaboration across the other Specialty Center for the arts disciplines. (Prerequisite: Honors Fine Artist’s Studio III)
