In this college level music theory course, students develop an ability to recognize, understand and describe the fundamental processes of musical composition by an integrated approach to develop aural skills, sight-singing, written skills, compositional skills and analytical skills. Introduction of the analysis of the Bach chorale style facilitates harmonic dictation and enables the student to use these techniques at the keyboard.
