Students will ask and respond to questions for clarification, express opinions and preferences regarding themselves and their daily lives, school and community issues and demonstrate cultural competence. Students exit with a Novice-High proficiency for interpretive (receptive-fingerspelling), interpersonal and expressive presentational mode, at Novice-Mid for glossing and Intermediate-Low on the receptive interpretive, aligned with the Virginia Standards and the ACTFL proficiency scale.
