Canton High School – Weight Training & Conditioning

This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to develop total physical fitness and overall development of muscular strength and improved physical appearance. Various weight lifting and cardiovascular training will be utilized. This course includes programs designed to meet the needs of both male and female students. The development of the muscular system can be accomplished by utilizing the weight machines, barbells, dumbbells, isotonic and isometric exercise, and various forms of cardiovascular training, such as plyometrics, jogging and stretching.
