Canton High School – Video Production Tech

In this advanced video class, students will focus on field production, or production outside of the classroom. In small groups, students will produce segments for the cable show "Park Pulse" that airs on both the district's cable channel and website. Students will also hone their filmmaking skills by working on a variety of short film projects which might include music videos, mystery films, documentaries and other short formats. Contest entries will also be part of the assignments as well as independent inquiry learning. Students who elect the course should have had Introduction to Video Production or come with a strong skill set in filming and editing. This course may be elected for two years.
