Canton High School – Engineering - Computer Aided Design II

Further exploring engineering, construction, and architecture; students in CAD II will continue to develop their design skills. Set up into (2) parts, Semester 1 students will focus on architecture through design concepts, 3D software, and design challenges. Semester 2, students will explore material sciences, civil engineering concepts, mechanical principles through project based learning.Students will continue to gain experience with 3D printing , shop tools, laser cutting/etching, waterjet processes, CNC mill and CNC lathe operations. Lastly, students will be introduced to tooling lists, scheduling software, quality assurance checklists, and other business processes in engineering, construction, and architecture. Qualifies for Applied Art or Applied Mathematics credit.
