The Architecture and Construction Internship is a structured work-based credit-bearingcourse that is taken as a fourth unit in a three- or four-unit CTE completer program. Eachwork-based learning (creditbearing) course has an assigned CTE course code. Theguidelines listed in the CTE Work-Based Learning Implementation Guide must be followedto award one Carnegie unit of credit upon successful completion of the course. Army JROTC Course Code: 658102 | 1Unit Notes: Eighth-grade students are allowed to participate in JROTC 1 ifphysically co-located with 9th-12th grade students. For eighth graders tosatisfy the Physical Education 1 credit, students must take JROTC 2, PE 1, orMarching Band (with an approved application) in high school. If the coursesatisfies the Physical Education graduation credit, it cannot have honors high school program. This course supports 22 lessons designed for first-year Cadefs.Because the central focus of the JROTC program is to help develop strong leaders andmodel citizens. First year Cadets are introduced to content that will help the inner leaderbegin to emerge. Knowledge, skills, and abilities acquired in this unit are covered in fivechapters. The chapters are: Foundations, Personal Growth and Behaviors, Team Building,Decision Making, Health and Fitness, and Service Learning. Participation in JROTC doesnot incur any military obligation and military recruitment is not a stated objective in statuteor policy. |
