Brooke Point High – Sports Medicine II

Note: This course requires participation in activities outside the scheduled class period, including evenings and weekends (minimum of 5 hours per week). The focus of this course is the application of knowledge and understanding gained in Sports Medicine I. Students will have hands-on experiences in preventing, recognizing, evaluating, and providing emergency care for athletic injuries to sports team members under the supervision of a certified athletic trainer. A requirement of this course is that the student must serve as a student assistant for the athletic trainer for at least one sport season after school.
