Brooke Point High – Architectural Drawing and Design

This course offers the student an opportunity to simulate the role of an architect by solving a residential design problem using a series of steps called “the design process.” The student will learn and follow accepted architectural design principles and drawing practices to arrive at their individual solution to the design problem. Classroom activities will include sketching preliminary ideas, drawing a presentation floor plan and presentation elevation drawing, and building a scaled architectural model. Architectural- related occupations will be explored during the year. Drawing/ modeling tools and supplies are provided. Schools offering course: BPHS, CFHS, MVHS, NSHS
