Students will identify criteria upon which religious beliefs are based, analyze relationships between religious and social and political institutions, trace the major developments of the world's living religions, distinguish the similarities and differences among the world's major religious traditions, synthesize information and ideas from confl icting religious beliefs, and interpret the development of a society as refl ected by its religious beliefs.
