This course may include, but is not limited to, content in metals, jewelry, glass, fabrics/fi bers, clay, fashion design, and/or objects for interior or architectural design/embellishment. Student artisans refl ect on aesthetics and visual issues related to media and organizational principles of design, manipulating them to create works of art that are progressively more innovative. Increasingly sophisticated oral and written analytical problem-solving skills are employed to improve personal and/or group work and reinforce the ability to self-diagnose and decide on solutions for art challenges based on growing structural, historical, and cultural knowledge. This course incorporates hands-on activities and consumption of art materials.
