This is a year-long, performance based course aligned with the Maryland State Fine Arts Standards. Students will continue learning to play a string instrument (violin, viola, cello, or double bass). Concepts that are taught include: note and rhythm reading, interpretation of musical symbols, basic music terminology, sound production, posture, playing and hand position, bowing, and proper care and assembly of instruments.
