This is an introductory unit in Drama/Theatre that builds and enhances the skills developed in 6th and 7th grade. Students practice ensemble building; learn how to analyze a character and create a monologue inspired by a character’s inner thoughts and feelings; practice performing characters in a play using acting techniques such as beats, tactics, and blocking; and apply previous skills and perform a play/scene using a basic set design concept.
