Game Design refers to the guiding theory, elements, and principlesinvolved in developing game concepts and planning the overallcomposition of games, both digital and analog. Game Development refersto the various technical and artistic skills, as well as the productionmethodologies required to actually build and assemble the components ofa game. Games and Play occupy an understated but ever-present aspect ofhuman history and development, with modern digital games being acontinuation of a long tradition. Emphasizing critical analysis andproject-based learning, this course will introduce the foundations ofDesign and Development for digital and analog games.
