This course is designed to teach students the fundamentals of solo singing. Students will gain tools to aid them in efficiently and effectively learning solo repertoire. They'll have the opportunity to develop a diverse repertoire of solos to select from when auditioning for college music programs and vocal competitions. Students will be able to: • Perform in instructor arranged community performances, local, regional, state and national competitions, department recitals, masterclasses, and other performances suitable for solo performance. • Demonstrate how interests, knowledge, and skills relate to intent when creating, performing, and responding to music.
