Ballard High School – Drawing & Painting Beginning

Drawing and Painting Beginning introduces students to the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. Students create art in a variety of drawing and painting media and explore the relationship between observation, artistic vision, and composition. Students use sketchbooks or other means to develop skills and ideas. Visual Art builds lifelong skills through critical thinking and the creative process. No previous art experience necessary. All students are welcome. This course may be repeated for credit.
