This course allows students to gain understanding of the rela - tionship between natural resources and the production of food and fiber, including the role of alternative energy in the agricul - tural industry. An emphasis on environmental stewardship within the agricultural industry as it impacts plant and animal produc - tion helps students engage in practicing strategies for effectively using resources in the agricultural industry. Work-based learning opportunities and leadership development engage students in the development of their career development plan.
