Atlantic Technical College – Dental Assisting

Students will be taught the basic knowledge and skills to offer direct chairside assistance to the dentist, expose dental radiographs, and educate and instruct patients in preventive dental care.
Prerequisites: Have at least a 2.5 GPA in the four core classes (English, Math, Science and Social Studies) on the most recent report card. Level 3 or higher in both FAST/EOC Math and FAST Reading from the previous school year for Progress Monitoring 3 (PM3). If the FSA is not available, at least 50th percentile in Math and Reading on most nationally recognized standardized test will be accepted.
