Photojournalism provides instruction in handling a digital camera. Emphasis is placed on the journalistic aspects of making photogenerated stories out of events and the impact on viewers. (Some campuses provide instruction in basic black-and-white darkroom procedures for students who own a $3 5 \\mathsf { m m }$ camera.) In addition to the camera, students must provide additional supplies not furnished by the school. The cost of these supplies is approximately $$ 50.00$ . (See Index/Fees).
Prerequisites: # Journalism I (1150) Service ID: 03230100 Notes: Journalism I focuses on the fundamentals of journalistic writing and publication utilizing the latest technology in desktop publishing; the printing process; advertising and publication financing. # Journalism: Yearbook Production I (1153) Service ID: 03230110 Notes: Journalism: Yearbook I is designed for students who are interested in studying the production of the school yearbook. # Journalism: Yearbook Production II (1154) Service ID: 03230120 Notes: Journalism: Yearbook II is designed for students who are interested in studying the production of the school yearbook. # Journalism: Yearbook Production III (1155) Service ID: 03230130 Notes: Journalism: Yearbook III is designed for students who are interested in studying the production of the school yearbook. # Journalism: Newspaper Production I (1156) Service ID: 03230140 Notes: Journalism: Newspaper I is designed for students who are interested in the elements and processes used in producing a school newspaper. # Journalism: Newspaper Production II (1157) Service ID: 03230150 Notes: Journalism: Newspaper II further expands and refines the course objectives outlined in Advanced Journalism: Newspaper I.
