Atascocita High School – Theatre Arts IV

Theatre Arts IV is an advanced level/performance-based course designed for the highly motivated/serious theatre student, further defining the concepts and skills acquired in Theatre Arts III. Lessons will include individual research and group study; group discussion and intense scene work that requires lengthy memorization. Theatre Arts IV students will explore advanced theatrical studies including the advanced development of playwriting, acting, and production skills such as auditioning, rehearsal, make-up, costuming and performance techniques. Students will audition for main stage shows and may participate in all aspects of the Thespian Society. Careers in theatre and/or film will be explored and researched. Students will be expected to attend several mainstage theater productions after school hours. Attendance is required at all after school rehearsals and performances as a part of the graded curricula.
