Arlington Collegiate High School – Practicum in Education & Training
Mar 2026 · 2nd Semester
In this second-year course, students will participate as unpaid interns at elementary, junior high, or high schools under the supervision of their high school teacher and mentor teacher at the field site. They will expand their knowledge of effective teaching practices and will take on more responsibility in the classroom as they learn to evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of lesson plans and instructional strategies. Students who wish to take this course must have their own transportation in order to be able to travel to their practicum site(s). Uniform purchase is required. This is a capstone course for students that are completing a coherent sequence of courses within their specific career pathway.
Prerequisites: Completion of interest form required before deadline.
