Arlington Collegiate High School – Advanced Placement Chinese Language and Culture

This college-level course is designed for students who wish to develop proficiency in Mandarin Chinese while gaining a deeper understanding of Chinese culture. Through instruction in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, students will engage with authentic materials and real-world contexts that reflect contemporary life in Chinese-speaking communities. The curriculum emphasizes communication skills, cultural comparisons, and interdisciplinary connections, preparing students to interpret and express ideas effectively in Mandarin. At the end of the course, students will take the AP Chinese Language and Culture Exam.
