Arlington College and Career High School – Musical Instrument Repair II

This class builds on the skills learned in Musical Instrument Repair I and will focus on the repair and restoration of woodwind and brass instruments. Based on curriculum developed by Music and Arts, students will have the opportunity to repair instruments using a very hands-on approach with some of the finest equipment and tools specific to the repair instrument industry. They will learn the unique properties of wind instruments as well as common repair techniques including: dent removal, re-padding, cleaning and polishing, just to name a few. This course will count as an elective; there will be no Fine Arts credit awarded.
Prerequisites: Completion of FA4290. This class is double blocked for 2 credits
