Arlington College and Career High School – Instructional Practices

This course is for the student who wants to pursue a career in education. Students will study child and adolescent development as well as principles of effective teaching and training. They will serve an unpaid internship under the guidance of their classroom teacher and an AISD elementary teacher gaining hands-on experience in planning and directing individual and group activities, preparing materials, creating short- and long-term goals for students, and assisting with data and recordkeeping duties. Students who wish to take this course must have their own transportation in will be given the opportunity to earn a “Letter of Intent” from the Arlington ISD which provides
