This Project Lead the Way (www.pltw.org) pre-engineering course is a course that provides a foundation for students who are interested in electrical engineering, electronics, or circuit design. Students study topics such as combinational and sequential logic and are exposed to circuit design tools used in industry, including logic gates, integrated circuits, and programmable logic devices. This science, technology, and math integrated program helps students develop skills that better prepare them for a rigorous academic college curriculum. Students who score high enough on the PLTW end-of-course exam can receive college credit at PLTW-affiliated universities.
