Arlington College and Career High School – Jazz Instrumental Ensemble I, II, III and IV

This class must be taken concurrently with Jazz Band I, II, III, or IV, unless the student has an academic scheduling conflict with the class period or the approval of the director. These courses consist of small and large ensembles as well as solo/individual performance techniques and fundamentals. Attention is given to music theory, listening, and elements of music history and literature. Classes may be divided by instrument families and/or according to Jazz Band classes. These classes are intended to reinforce, but not replace Jazz Band I – IV.
